A Keystone ski vacation truly offers slices of heaven for every single penchant, both on and off the mountain. From tubing, to fine dining or quick (and cheap) eats, to après drinks, to world-class cat skiing and perfect family friendly trails, Keystone has it all. Keystone is opportunely located just under 100 miles from Denver International Airport, the drive along I-70 takes a little over an hour and a half, so you can easily arrive in the morning and sneak a half-day of skiing in. And unless you want to go check out the outlet shopping in Silverthorne or check out downtown Frisco, there’s no reason to ever leave during your Keystone ski vacation. All the Keystone restaurants are handily located in the base village or just across Highway 6. On sunny afternoons Keystone has a lively après scene, making it a great place to have a beer and mingle.


When the calendar reaches June, July and August, it’s time for a family vacation or weekend getaway. With the enormous array of Keystone, CO, summer activities, the resort is a fantastic warm weather destination. Where ice skating rules the winter at Keystone Lake, this five-acre waterway at the center of Lakeside Village provides stand-up paddle boarding, canoes and kayaks for a quick tour around its perimeter.. Links’ lovers will find their bliss in Keystone summer activities. The River Course and Keystone Ranch facilities present 36 challenging holes in a spectacular mountain environment. Mountain bikers will also find thrills at Keystone. Riders can take advantage of lift-serviced rocky terrain or head off cross country over miles upon miles of varied trails. Road bikers can attempt one of the harder feats in the county: riding over Love-land Pass to reach the summit at 11,990 feet.. For a shorter but still challenging ride, bikers can head in the opposite direction over Swan Mountain Pass. At its summit, bikers enjoy the view of Lake Dillon from Sapphire Point. The downhill ride from here lands you at Farmer’s Corner in Frisco where you can pick up the Summit County “Rec Path” to head toward Main Street in Breckenridge.


Keystone and the surrounding area is packed with many great restaurants. From high end at the top of Keystone Mountain to a more casual atmosphere, the entire valley has an incredible variety to offer for options to please your taste buds. All restaurants are an easy drive or bus ride away. There are many great breakfast spots where you can fuel up before hitting the slopes or hiking a trail. Breakfast offerings vary from full-service to enticing bakeries with home-baked treats.  For dinner, you can select from a wide variety from fine dining, dinner on the mountain top, steakhouses and seafood restaurants so you can try some Rocky Mountain Trout, Italian, Mexican, Sushi and Indian, as well as several Pubs that brew their beer. If you would like to experience the Old West, you can also eat dinner combined with a sleigh ride in winter or a wagon ride in summer.


It’s hard to beat mountain biking in the Rocky Mountains. The days are longer, the weather is warm and there are endless opportunities for outdoor activities! By far our most favorite of which is mountain biking. Mountain biking in Keystone, Colorado is unlike anywhere else. The variety of terrain available all within the Keystone valley is second to none. Winding trails for beginners that meander through the woods, long 3000′ foot climbs to epic descents for the seasoned mountain biker, and our favorite downhill mountain biking at the Keystone Bike Park! Downhill mountain biking at the Keystone Bike Park takes the hard, grueling part out of the ride, the climb up. Keystone Bike Park is a six-time Top Five winner in the MTBparks.com Riders' Choice Best Bike Parks Awards for the Rocky Mountain Region. Known for its raw and technical riding, Keystone Resort's bike park is one of the biggest in the US, offering 34 inter-connected trails with aggressive descents, drops, berms and anything else that can be ridden on a bike. Featuring rock gardens, jumps, and creative wooden features, riders of all levels can find challenging terrain among Keystone’s 100 miles of lift-serviced singletrack.
